Lia Davis was one of my favorite romance writers and she is such a great author. I loved reading her Ashwood Falls series and this book has become another favorite. If you like Elfin romance you won't be disappointed. Reading her books will make you feel as if you have escape into another fantasy world. The characters are exciting, sexy and strong. Ms Davis allows you to share their highs and lows. Her books allows you to make new book friends. I love the magic in their life. The storyline is magical and heartwarming. But the story is full of suspense, twists and turns. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I couldn't put my tablet down. It's compelling from the first page to the last page. Take it from me the characters are engaging, fabulous, sexy, witty and fantastic. The dialogue is passionate, realistic, and you will love the interaction between the main characters, the chemistry between the main characters is so scorching hot! This is a awesome starts to a another great series. I received a copy for my honest review. I want to give you just a small taste of this must read.

She opened the door again and let it swing wide. Holy crap. There really was a forest in one of her upstairs rooms. Well, she had asked for the earth to swallow her. She laughed at her attempt at a joke and stepped through the door. Once she crossed the threshold, the door vanished behind her. Whirling around, she scanned her surroundings. Nothing but trees, bushes, and a whole lot of nature. The house was gone. Everything was so green and full of life, almost magical. I’m definitely not in Georgia anymore. A howl like she’d never heard before cut through the trees in the distance, followed by shouts. Then the sound of horses’ hooves pounding the earth grew closer. Her heart jerked to life, beating rapidly as the howls and gallops got louder, nearer, moving in on her too fast. She was trapped like a rabbit on a fox hunt. She just had to know what was behind that door. “Charles. Heel.” The deep boom of a command came from behind the animal and sent a chill up Ava’s spine. Charles backed off but only enough for the man to step into her line of sight. Ava’s heart skipped a few beats as she stared at him. Long, black hair that appeared green in the sunlight cascaded over his shoulders, framing a beautiful yet masculine face. Heat rolled within her abdomen, spreading to the rest of her body. Desire filled her mind, dizzying. The urge to touch him was strong, almost too strong for her to ignore. What the ahah was wrong with her? “Who are you?” The man loomed over her, arms folded, revealing the most unusual markings tattooed on his forearms. His words shocked her out of the haze. Glaring at him, she mimicked his crossed-arm stance and asked her own question. “Where am I?” He narrowed his gaze on her, but she swore there was a hint of a smile on his lips. Like he approved of her attempt to be brave. “Answer my question first.”
This is a Must Read. There is lots of romance and it's Scorching HOT, You don't want to miss this book! If you are looking for a Spectacular paranormal series to read, then you want to read this series. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I Highly Recommend this Book.

I felt the plot points were disjointed and the writing a tad juvenile, with banter aiming for witty but falling short.The characters were a bit 2D and I didn't feel connected enough to any of them to really care what happened. I'm a bit sad, as I thought a lot more could have been accomplished with a slightly fuller story but in the end it was just meh.
This is another good skeleton key book. I love all stories with elves. Th hero is hot and the heroine is brave.
Overall I enjoyed the book and it was a good story. Seemed a little rushed, but I didn't mind and the author had it make sense. I also liked the characters and their personalities.
A fast moving story of mystery, challenge, lost and found love. For those who enjoy elves and paranormal romance this is a good one to include in your collection. The story is an easy to read tale with lots of things happening.
I made it to 30% of this book before giving up in disgust. Instant compassion, lust, instant immediate Everything. It was as if the author self published an outline for a story. Will avoid this author forevermore
She has another winner in this book. The story was great and I could keep up with it very well . Finn and Ava were drawn to each other right away and she couldn't understand why. You have to read the book to find out. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, I also hope that's not the last one I want more please!
It was ok. Not terrible but definitely not great.

For me there was so much that was rushed through and never explained. From her business partner and why he was targeted to why and elves use conference calling (I'm not even lying). Also, the business partners wife cleaning her out an hour and a half after her husband dies us never addressed. That is fishy as hell and I would want my share out of principal alone. But she's ok with the wife taking her part of the business knowingly. Like what!?
On top of that the jargon is all wrong. Elves who have never been to the human world are using words/terms like "our mom" "sure, baby come back "things like that. Totally ruined things for me.
Then we get to the end. The mediocre build up and it's over in a couple of pages. It's never discussed what's going to be done about the rebels. Nothing. Very frustrating. It genuinely makes me sad because the premise had promise.
First book from Lia Davis and probably last.
